Before being hired, I am more than happy to put together a basic mood board to make sure the director and I are on the same page visually and thematically. I also find that this starts a dynamic dialogue.

After being hired, the first thing I like to do after reading a script is to break it down by props, set dressing, graphics, and weapons if applicable. I view this as a logistical starting point.

The next step is designing a color palette by creating mood boards and prop renderings. If there is a build, I will also make models on sketch-up.

Final stage after meetings discussing the mood boards and renderings with the director and the DP, is the actualization of the plan.
